Who We Are

Our team and approach

At Hygge Dental, our team is brought together by a shared standard of dentistry: considered, beautifully crafted and built around what each guest truly wants from their smile.

We are thoughtful smile architects. Our focus is on healthy mouths, beautiful smiles and dentistry planned with intention — from preventative care that protects long-term oral health to comprehensive treatment plans guided by Digital Smile Design. We’re interested in the details. The shape of a tooth. The line of a gum. The way a smile sits within a face. How the decisions made today can shape the next twenty years.

Our guests come to us because they value craft. Some want subtle refinement. Others want a significant aesthetic change.

Many want a dental home that takes their oral health seriously and plans for the long term. Whatever your goals, our role is to listen carefully, plan thoroughly and explain clearly — so every decision feels considered and every result feels as intended.

Behind each appointment is a team committed to hospitality, precision and care with every guest relationship we build. We work with warmth, but our work is exacting. The welcome feels personal, the planning comprehensive and the dentistry crafted.

This is what unites us, and this is what our guests can expect at Hygge Dental.

Our values

Six core values guide how we work, how we care for our guests and the standard we hold ourselves to.

Our space and technology

Hygge Dental brings together two ideas that are often separate: a calm, considered space and a fully equipped digital practice.

The environment has been architecturally designed to feel warm and non-clinical. Behind it sits a modern clinical workflow built for precise diagnosis, thorough planning and clear communication. One supports the other. The calm allows you to settle. The technology allows us to work with care and accuracy.

Each piece of technology at Hygge Dental has been chosen for a reason — to support careful assessment, considered planning and clearer conversations between you and your clinician.

  • Digital intra-oral scanning replaces traditional impressions in most cases, capturing a detailed 3D model of your teeth and bite in minutes.
  • 2D and 3D imaging support detailed diagnosis when clinically required, particularly for implant planning, complex restorative care and a better understanding of the underlying anatomy.
  • Digital Smile Design allows us to plan aesthetic treatment with intention, considering your face, lips, gumline and proportions before any treatment begins.
  • Clinical photography documents the detail.
  • Patient education screens bring all of this together — so the scans, images and treatment options we discuss are visible, not just described.

For our guests, this means a more comfortable and collaborative experience. You can:

  • see what we see
  • understand what we recommend and why
  • ask questions with the visual context in front of you
  • leave your appointment with a clear understanding of your oral health, options and next steps

For our clinicians, technology supports the kind of dentistry we believe in: precise, well-planned and considered over the long term. It/ helps us identify important details early and plan treatment with greater clarity — particularly when care is comprehensive and aesthetic outcomes matter.

Technology is the heart of Hygge Dental. People are the soul.

Technology helps us plan with accuracy. Design helps us create calm. The purpose of both is the same — to support careful, considered dentistry, delivered by a team who takes pride in the detail.

Digital intra-oral scanning

Digital scanning allows us to capture a detailed, full-colour 3D model of your teeth, gums and bite using a small handheld scanner — typically in just a few minutes.

For most guests, this replaces the need for traditional dental impressions, making the experience more comfortable and streamlined. The scan becomes a precise digital record that supports diagnosis, Invisalign® planning, Digital Smile Design, restorative treatment and long-term monitoring of your oral health.

It also becomes part of the conversation. We can show you your teeth on screen, point out areas of interest and explain treatment options visually — so you can see what we see and understand the reasoning behind any recommendations.

Digital 2D and 3D imaging

Advanced 3D and 2D imaging gives us a more complete picture of your oral health — from the surfaces we can see to the structures beneath them.

Imaging allows us to use a low radiation dose to detect dental caries, gum disease, bone pathology, airway concerns and temporomandibular joint issues with enhanced accuracy. They give us a detailed view of your teeth, roots, bone and surrounding anatomy — and are fundamental to all our comprehensive Digital Smile Designs and orthodontic cases, as well as implant planning and complex restorative care.

We’ve invested in advanced digital imaging so that every scan, photograph and diagnostic image can be captured on-site at the touch of a button. There’s no need to be referred elsewhere or wait for results from an external provider — your imaging, diagnosis and treatment planning all happen here, in one considered space.

Digital Smile Design

Digital Smile Design is how we approach aesthetic dentistry at Hygge Dental — carefully, visually and with intention.

Using photographs, digital scans, 3D imaging and detailed facial analysis, we design your smile with intention long before any treatment begins — considering your features, proportions, bite and personal preferences to arrive at a result that feels balanced, considered and uniquely yours.

By beginning with the end result in mind, we’re able to plan each case comprehensively, while aiming to protect as much natural tooth structure as possible along the way. Beautiful dentistry doesn’t need to come at the expense of conservative dentistry. With careful design, it doesn’t have to.
