Invisalign®
What you can expect
Invisalign® at Hygge Dental is approached with the care, judgement and eye of comprehensive smile design.
Invisalign® is one of the most familiar names in modern dentistry — but the quality of an Invisalign® result depends on the eye and experience of the clinician planning it.
At Hygge Dental, Invisalign® isn’t approached as a standalone product; it’s approached as orthodontic design — the careful, intentional movement of teeth as part of a comprehensive plan for your smile, your bite and your long-term oral health.
More than straighter teeth
Clear aligners do more than make teeth appear straight.
Tooth movement affects the:
- proportions of your face
- line of your smile
- symmetry of your bite
- stability of your jaw
- foundation for any future aesthetic work
Done well, Invisalign® can improve all of these. Done without sufficient planning, it can compromise them. This is why every Invisalign® case at Hygge Dental begins with the same comprehensive assessment that underpins our restorative and aesthetic work — including 3D imaging, digital scanning, and Digital Smile Design.
We study how your teeth move within the context of your whole face, airway, temporomandibular joint, gumline and long-term function. Importantly, we design the end goal first, then plan the orthodontic movement to support that direction.
The Process
Guests can expect a highly personalised dental experience, with tailored treatments delivered by a team who values craft, precision and longevity.
1. Consultation
We assess your teeth, bite, gum health and alignment concerns to determine whether Invisalign® may be suitable for you.
2. Digital records
We take the records required for planning, which may include digital scans, photographs and X-rays.We take the records required for planning, which may include digital scans, photographs and X-rays.
3. Treatment planning
Your dentist reviews the proposed tooth movements and treatment sequence. You’ll be shown the expected plan, including estimated treatment duration and aligner stages.
4. Aligner fitting
Your aligners are fitted and you’re shown how to insert, remove and care for them. Attachments may be placed where required to help guide tooth movement.
4. Progress reviews
We monitor your progress and provide the next aligners as treatment advances. Refinements may be recommended if additional tooth movement is required.
4. Retention
After active treatment, retainers are used to help maintain the final tooth position. Your dentist will explain how often to wear them.
A foundation for conservative dentistry
For some guests, Invisalign® is the treatment in itself — a clear path to a more balanced, comfortable and well-aligned smile.
For others, it’s the first step within a broader Digital Smile Design plan. By improving tooth position before any restorative or aesthetic work begins, we’re often able to perform veneers, bonding or other refinements more conservatively through:
- better-aligned teeth requiring less reshaping
- less reshaping preserving more natural tooth structure
- retained natural tooth structure supporting a healthier, more stable smile over time
This is the measured logic behind Hygge Dental’s comprehensive planning: a longer, more considered path almost always can lead to a more conservative treatment approach.
Considered, comfortable, beautifully discreet
Invisalign® aligners are nearly invisible, removable and tailored to your lifestyle.
Most guests find them comfortable to wear and easy to integrate into daily life. Throughout treatment, we carefully monitor progress, adjust as needed and stay alert to the details that matter, including:
- tooth contact
- gumline
- smile line
- bite stability
- the overall harmony of the result
The aim is not simply to straighten teeth — it’s to support a smile that feels balanced, functions comfortably, looks beautiful and is built for longevity.
FAQs
Let’s answer some frequently asked questions.
Is Invisalign® an option for most types of teeth alignment?
Invisalign® can be suitable for many mild to moderate alignment concerns, including crowding, spacing and certain bite-related issues. More complex cases may require additional planning, attachments, refinements or alternative orthodontic treatment.
Your dentist will assess your teeth, bite, gum health and treatment goals to determine whether Invisalign® is suitable.
Do I wear the Invisalign® aligner trays all day?
Yes, Invisalign® aligners generally need to be worn for most of the day and night to work effectively. They’re usually removed for eating, drinking anything other than water and for brushing and flossing.
Your dentist will give you specific wear-time instructions for your case.
How many Invisalign® aligner trays are typically required, and how long do I wear them for?
The number of aligners depends on the amount of tooth movement required and the complexity of your treatment plan. Each aligner is usually worn for a prescribed period before moving to the next.
Your expected number of aligners and treatment duration will be explained after digital planning.
Do you offer a payment plan for Invisalign® treatment?
Yes. Hygge Dental offers payment plans for eligible treatments, subject to approval by the finance provider and the terms of the selected plan. During your consultation, we can provide a treatment estimate and talk you through the available payment options so you can decide which best suits your treatment timeline and budget.
