Porcelain veneers
What you can expect
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made ceramic restorations bonded to the front surfaces of selected teeth.
They can refine tooth colour, shape, length, symmetry, proportions and the overall balance of a smile. Some guests choose veneers for subtle refinement — small adjustments that feel completely natural. Others choose them for a brighter, more polished look or a more visible change. Either way, the work is designed around you: your face, features and goals.
At Hygge Dental, veneers aren’t approached as a standalone procedure. Every veneer case begins with Digital Smile Design, where we plan the final result before any preparation. By planning this way, we respect the biological cost of every decision — preserving as much of your natural enamel as possible, protecting long-term tooth health while supporting a thoughtfully balanced smile.
The craft is in the detail
Veneers shouldn’t look like teeth that have been replaced — they should look like they’ve always belonged.
That’s why we consider:
- tooth shade
- translucency
- surface texture
- gum line
- how light catches each tooth’s edge
- how your lips frame your smile in conversation
Porcelain veneers aren’t the right option for everyone. A detailed consultation is required to assess whether your teeth, gums, bite and oral health support veneer treatment — and whether another approach might serve you better. Where veneers are appropriate, we plan them with care, craft them with intention and finish them so the result feels natural and distinctly yours.
FAQs
Let’s answer some frequently asked questions.
How do I know if porcelain veneers are the right aesthetic option for me?
Porcelain veneers may be suitable if you want to improve tooth shape, colour, symmetry, proportions or minor spacing concerns. However, they’re not suitable for everyone.
Your dentist will assess your teeth, enamel, bite, gum health and aesthetic goals before recommending veneers or an alternative, such as whitening, composite bonding, Invisalign® or crowns.
How long does it typically take to update a smile with porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers usually require a planning phase and more than one appointment. The overall timeframe depends on the number of veneers, whether any whitening or gum treatment is required beforehand, and the laboratory process.
A more accurate timeframe can be provided after your consultation and smile design planning process.
Will the porcelain veneers look and feel balanced in my smile?
That is the goal. Veneers are planned around your face, lips, gum line, bite and surrounding teeth so the result looks balanced rather than generic.
The final outcome depends on careful planning, material selection, tooth preparation, laboratory work and how the veneers integrate with your natural smile.
Do you offer a payment plan for porcelain veneers?
Yes. Hygge Dental offers payment plans for eligible treatments, subject to approval by the finance provider and the terms of the selected plan. During your consultation, we can provide a treatment estimate and talk you through the available payment options so you can decide which best suits your treatment timeline and budget.
A note on treatment information
