Meet Dr Tara

Dr Tara Møller is the Principal Dentist and Co-Founder of Hygge Dental. Before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne, she earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Queensland, providing her with a strong foundation in health sciences, pharmacology and evidence-based care.

Tara is highly experienced in comprehensive general, restorative and aesthetic dentistry, with particular interests in porcelain veneers, minimal- and no-preparation restorations, Invisalign® treatment, dental implants, prosthodontics and professional teeth whitening. As an official Digital Smile Design (DSD) provider, she combines advanced digital planning with meticulous clinical care to create highly personalised treatment plans that balance beauty, function and longevity. She also enjoys caring for children and helping younger guests build a positive relationship with dentistry from an early age.

Her approach is gentle, calm and deeply considered. Tara takes the time to listen, understand and carefully plan every aspect of treatment, combining advanced digital technology with meticulous clinical care to deliver dentistry that is precise, comfortable and highly personalised. Every recommendation is guided by current evidence, thoughtful communication and a commitment to achieving outcomes that are natural, functional and long-lasting.

Tara has taught final-year dental students at the University of Queensland since 2022 and serves on the Executive Committee of the Queensland branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Global Institute for Dental Education and Digital Smile Design. These professional affiliations reflect her commitment to continual learning and remaining connected with advances in aesthetic, restorative, implant and digitally guided dentistry.

Outside dentistry, Tara enjoys Latin dancing, travelling, attending dental conferences and courses, and spending time with her family. Her appreciation for thoughtful design, lifelong learning and the Danish philosophy of hygge helped shape the vision for Hygge Dental: a place where exceptional dentistry is delivered with warmth, intention and genuine care.
